Less is Miles Davis

Inspired by John Cage’s graphical notations, which communicate beyond boundaries, and based on the ideas of chance, repitition, and improvisation, I have created my own version of a visual notation that lends its structure from geometrical rules submerged in the musical language. By pushing the borders of the radical forms
in music, this piece challenges what an audience would perceive as listenable. The music score is not the music. Music is a form of conveying emotions and feelings.Normally emotions are associated with words, shape and color. The audience understands this universal language upon seeing the pattern.
